New Tab Minimal Clock
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
New Tab Minimal Clock is a browser extension that replaces the new tab page with a minimal analog clock and today's date. This policy explains what the extension does – and does not do – with your data.
Summary
The extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal or usage data.
Data we do not collect
The extension does not collect or have access to:
- personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address or location,
- your browsing history or the content of websites you visit,
- authentication data, financial data, health data or personal communications,
- analytics, usage statistics, crash reports or any other telemetry.
The extension requests no browser permissions, makes no network requests, loads no remote code and contains no third-party services, trackers or advertising.
Data stored on your device
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage
(under the key clock-theme) so the clock opens in the same mode next time. This value
stays on your device, is never sent anywhere and is removed when you uninstall the extension or
clear your browser's site data.
The time and date are read from your device's clock and shown on screen only.
Sharing with third parties
Because no data is collected, no data is sold, transferred or disclosed to third parties, used for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose, or used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Children's privacy
The extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
